Culinary Institute of America
Master of Professional Studies in Wine and Beverage Management Program Tasting Package – Year 1 | NW Northern Hemisphere

$600.00

The wines in these four kits have been carefully selected to illustrate the concepts in your course – The New World – Northern Hemisphere, in the Culinary Institute of America’s Master’s Degree Program in Wine and Beverage Management.

This course focuses on the wines of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The emphasis is on the USA because the USA is the most productive and applicable market for our studies. But our neighbors on both borders are doing great work and we will have a look at their progress.

Through lecture, in depth tastings, guest speakers and class discussion, the histories, terroirs, varieties and wine regulations of these primary new world wine growing countries will be studied. Critical issues, emerging regions, and pathways to global success for each country are discussed, as well as food compatibility and wine selection considerations for beverage programs featuring the major wines of these areas.

Each kit includes a selection of 6 wines (187 ml / 6.3 oz. each ) – easily enough for two people to taste. The wines have been carefully selected by a CIA wine and beverage professor to illustrate the concepts of the area of focus. There is a total of four kits shipped in one package.

After you order, you will receive a shipment notification when your order is processed to ship. Please make sure that someone is available to sign for your package as an adult signature is always required – you can always ship to your nearest UPS store if necessary.
