ABOUT MACARI

Macari Vineyards, located on the North Fork of Long Island in Mattituck, New York, is owned and operated by three generations of the Macari Family. The waterfront farm, with sweeping views of the Long Island Sound, was established by the family over 50 years ago. Since the first vines were planted in 1995, Macari Vineyards has been recognized as an industry leader in regenerative agriculture, with a focus on organic and biodynamic farming principles. The vineyard is home to a herd of cattle, used for composting, and grows grapes without the use of herbicides.

GABRIELLA MACARI

Gabriella has worked with her family at Macari Vineyards since its inception in 1995. As Director of Operations, she manages education, distribution, marketing, and assists with cellar and vineyard activities. Gabriella holds the WSET Diploma and is a Certified Sommelier. She passed the Master of Wine exam in July 2022 and is currently working on a research paper to complete the credential. She currently sits on the all-volunteer board of Slow Food East End.

NICOLE HENNESSEY

Nicole Hennessey is the Wine Club Director at Macari Vineyards. Nicole graduated top of her class at New York’s Institute of Culinary Education. She achieved her Advanced Certificate in 2017 and is currently a Diploma of Wines Candidate with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Since joining the Macari Vineyards team in 2016, Nicole further developed her passion for food and wine and shares Macari’s commitment to producing high-quality, age-worthy wines showcased by thoughtful hospitality.
