Master of Professional Studies in Wine and Beverage Management Program Tasting Kit 2: Northern California to the Central Coast


This kit provides tasters with a journey from Northern California to the Central Coast of California, exploring robust wines of exciting provenance and great depth of flavor. No tasting of California pinot noirs would be complete without wines from the celebrated AVAs of the Sonoma Coast, the Anderson Valley, and the Central Coast. The second half of the tasting explores zinfandel and the fondly dubbed “Rhone Rangers” of California. These reds are gorgeous in color and hue, bold and full of flavor on the palate, and linger for length.

The kit includes a selection of 6 wines (187 ml / 6.3 oz. each ) – easily enough for two people to taste. The wines have been carefully selected by a CIA wine and beverage professor to illustrate the concepts of the area of focus.

These kits are typically only available for CIA master’s degree students. The ordered kit will be shipped to your preferred address and will include a welcome letter with a link to a pre-recorded guided tasting video. You can taste at your leisure guided by our experienced and credentialed faculty.
