Master of Professional Studies in Wine and Beverage Management Program Tasting Kit 3: Northern California’s Central Valley to Oregon

This kit brings the taster on a journey from the vast vineyard lands of California’s Central Valley to the thrilling wine regions of Oregon, in the Pacific Northwest. We start with top appellation of Lodi, where the category of zinfandel is the undisputed leader. Tasters then explore the nuanced wines of the cooler climates of Oregon. Exciting, vibrant wines of balanced acidities, Oregon’s pinot gris, pinot noir, and cabernet franc, are stunning.

The kit includes a selection of 6 wines (187 ml / 6.3 oz. each ) – easily enough for two people to taste. The wines have been carefully selected by a CIA wine and beverage professor to illustrate the concepts of the area of focus.

These kits are typically only available for CIA master’s degree students. The ordered kit will be shipped to your preferred address and will include a welcome letter with a link to a pre-recorded guided tasting video. You can taste at your leisure guided by our experienced and credentialed faculty.

After you order, you will receive a shipment notification when your order is processed to ship. Please make sure that someone is available to sign for your package as an adult signature is always required – you can always ship to your nearest UPS store if necessary. Send us an email at if you have any questions.
